Development Director, Alder Hey
David joined Alder Hey as development director in December 2012 and has over 30 years’ experience working in the NHS.
A main part of David’s current role is project director for the new Alder Hey in the Park, as well as executive lead for innovation. David is also the Development Director for the New Velindre Cancer Centre in Wales.
Prior to his role at Alder Hey and Velindre, David held development director posts in Bristol and London, overseeing new hospital programmes.
David’s main schemes include:
• The new Central Middlesex Hospital – £100m;
• The Bristol Laboratory/Research complex – £100m;
• Bristol Southmead Hospital – £430m; and
• Alder Hey Children’s Hospital – £200m.
David has a history degree from Manchester University and is a qualified accountant.
